About

If you’re on this page, you’re probably curious about who’s behind this blog about the popular Mexican destination, Cancun.

Let me start by saying: the name “Cancun Mexico All Inclusive Resorts” was chosen because it captures what Cancun is widely known for. But I want to make it clear—Cancun is far more than sipping margaritas by the pool. There’s plenty to explore in and around the city.

My name is James, and I’m from a tiny Mediterranean island called Malta. After working 10 years in construction, I went on my first long-distance trip, which took me across Asia, including Thailand, of course. I began setting up this website before my first trip to South America, a journey that will start in Costa Rica and take me through Panama, Colombia, and finally Mexico.

As of writing this, I haven’t visited any of these places yet (I’ll remember to update this section once I do!). It’s an exciting time, especially since South America is often portrayed as dangerous—except maybe Costa Rica. But I take most media reports and travel advisories with a pinch of salt since they tend to be exaggerated or inaccurate.

Now, back to this Cancun blog. The name “Cancun Mexico All Inclusive Resorts” plays on the common perception that Cancun is just about big resorts. While that’s partly true, it’s also misleading. My goal is to highlight the exciting activities both within the city and beyond the resorts. The information I gathered for this blog comes from extensive research on forums like Reddit and Tripadvisor, which have been invaluable resources for my travels—just as they were when I spent a lot of time in Bangkok.

In my view, visiting a place doesn’t necessarily make someone more informed than someone who’s thoroughly researched it. After all, understanding a destination starts with solid research.

To summarize: While the information was initially written from research rather than personal experience, the intention is to update each individual article to reflect my own experience, it most cases this may not be necessary I believe.
